Comfortable, reliable, efficient, economical, totally trouble free, why go anywhere else?

Having owned this car for a year and a half I can say it is an absolutely perfect car, 42mpg overall, tax 125 pounds, insurance 200 pounds. Boot good for a golfer, seats comfortable, gear change smooth. Acceleration more than adequate for mid range overtaking. 59 mpg on motorway cruise at 60-65.
But it is perfectly boring its so good.
What I can't understand is why reviewers put the Lexus low down on most lists. Are they all boy racers?
I have to confess to being 69 and well past the car for thrills stage and what is worse I play a lot of golf, so I need a good size boot, my previous E-class won on that count but I couldn't park it easily.
One tiny criticism is that driver view is slightly restricted by thick pillars but it is not a problem. I sometimes think I would like a higher seat for exit and entry and sightlines.
