Lexus LBX (2023 on)

I went to look at this car, which at the time of writing this review had a MRRP new of £38,255 plus optional Ruby pearlescent paint finish (£920), with a view to purchasing it.
I was taken aback when I saw wide black plastic mouldings around the wheel arches. Lexus has made this premium luxury car look 'cheap and nasty' in my opinion, and I couldn't 'move past this'.
Having travelled 30 miles to see the car, I decided to take a short test drive. The interior front door release handles are set lower than in any car I have owned or driven in more than 40 years of motoring, and to open the driver's door one must push against the handle - something else to try and get used to.
The gear lever change was very different to other cars. I am familiar with the traditional P-R-N-D stick set up, and rotary dial, but the manner in which this short stick operates was problematic for me, because I have dexterity issues.
I left the dealership feeling very disappointed, and my search for a small to mid-size petrol hybrid MHEV continues.
