Lexus GS (2012 - 2018)
250 2.5 F-Sport Auto 4dr Saloon
Waste of money and shocking fuel economy
I bought this car new from a dealer and was OK in the first couple of days, but after a month my MPG was 19.7 which is shocking. and the tyres are so expensive that you would be better off buying another car. the car chews through tyres and brakes quickly and they are expensive to replace. and even the road tax is expensive at 295 per year. insurance also costs around 750. and so you have to shell out over 1k every year for a car that is also depreciating rapidly. having had my car for 4 years i would be lucky to get 15k for it with 41000 miles, meaning this car has lost 70% of original value.
This car is not worth the money put into it, its pretending to be the big GSF with the 5 liter v8 but it can barely keep up with a 2 liter Audi.
I'm disappointed with Lexus as this car doesn't represent the brand fairly, as the gearbox has long ratios so quoted top speed cant be achieved.
Sat nav doesn't even take post codes in UK, And the infotainment is not easy to use with the curser.
However on the plus side the speakers are alright and paintwork looks good.
