Yet again Lexus have got it right!

We have only had this car for 24 hours after collecting it at the launch evening. Having had an IS200 and two IS250 SEL models previously we were expecting good things from the latest hybrid to be added to the Lexus range and we weren't disappointed.
Don't get me wrong it is different, but in a good way.
It looks great, the seat comfort and drive position are excellent and the driving experience is fantastic. We drove the 45 miles back home from the dealership with grins on our faces caused by the Performance Indicator table which was creeping up to over 60mpg.
Considering the new engine had done just 1 mile when we got in and we were testing out the sport driving mode frequently for overtakes, I think that's pretty good.
We were a little concerned it would take us a while to get used to dropping from a 2.5 litre engine to this 1.8 litre petrol/electric hybrid, but we need not be concerned. The sporty feel and changes oinsteering response when you change driving modes, mean this by no means little Lexus, performs brilliantly and gives response where you need it.
So far so good!
Well done Lexus for bringing us this sporty economic hatchback whilst continuing to deliver the quality, finish and great dealership service we have become very attached to.
