Buying brand new for the first time I wanted something a bit different than the hatchbacks I owned previously but at the same time keeping the monthly payments as low as possible.
The Stonic 2 is equipped with everything I need/wanted, whilst it may lack some features that I was used to (such as heated seats) it still has a decent level of kit for the price.

Although I've not been a huge fan of 'soft-roaders' it does genuinely look good compared to the car is based on and is much more stylish than the similar Hyundai Kona, sure its ruggedness is just cosmetic but I don't do any off roading.

Inside there is enough detail for it not to feel too bland,the seats are comfortable and supportive and the infotainment screen is really easy to use on the go. Connecting a phone was simple and apple car play means the lack of sat nav isn't a problem.

The driving position is pretty good, you do feel ever so slightly higher up but it isn't hugely noticeable but visibility is good all round although the dash feels fairly wide and the front of the car seems quite far away.
I've had no issues with ride or handling and it responds more than adequately to steering inputs, whilst there isn't a huge feeling of connection to the road its nicely weighted when it needs.

The engine isn't bad either, its got enough power to get up to speed when merging with rush hour traffic on the motorway or confidently overtaking a tractor on a country road.
There is some turbo lag, some tight corners on country roads where I might have changed down to 3rd with previous cars require 2nd if you want immediate power on exit and this can be a little jerky sometimes but overall its fine despite my initial reservations coming from a 2.0 litre its surprisingly good.
