Kia Carens (2013 - 2018)
3 1.7 CRDI ISG
Quality premium feel
I swapped into this from a 2015 Peugeot 5008 and the quality difference is amazing.
The whole car has the feel of a more premium brand like BMW and is very ergonomic for the driver.
I have the 6 speed manual whichever is smooth and easy to use and delivers around 43ish MPG, slighly down on what I expected to be honest, especially compared to my 5008 1.6 e-HDI that did between 47 and 57 depending on how I drove it.
The spec inside in brilliant, sat nav, heated leather seats and steering wheel and plenty of cup holders and Power sockets for charing phones off.
The rear seats are slightly smaller than my 5008 but the car is slightly shorter to be fair. The rear seats are usable for children and are leather with cupholders and power sockets. The mechanism to raise/lower the seats is super simple to, just pull the strap and they fold and unfold. The Peugeot citreon systems wS far more clunky and mechanical and was prone to falling, which resulted in a hefty bill.
The other annoying thing is about car tax, had I bought a pre April 17 car the tax would have been £20 or £30 rather than £170.
Overall the Kia is a very capable piece of kit that is a step up on the previous car.
