Hyundai Tucson (2015 - 2021)
1.6 TGDi 177 GO SE 5dr
Practical, good specification if a little thirsty
I have had my Tucson for over 2 years now but thought it best to provide a long term review of the car. We purchased the Tucson because like many other wanted a car in the SUV market, one that is affordable in comparison to many other brands. For our initial price we also were happy with the number of options as standard (front heated seats, large touch screen (with gesture), play link, power foldable mirrors, cruise control etc.
The car runs well we have put it through 2 services the only issue we have had was very minor with swapping the windscreen spray nozzle which had rusted (£10 swap). My only slight gripe would be the fuel usage where we average 34mpg but comparing motors for these size it is not too bad.
Our model is a turbo petrol which means it isnt too slouchy handles acceleration quite well the steering is a little light but other than that no complaints.
The Tucson shape is a bit more timeless than other and I still like seeing it on the driveway.
Through COVID19 Hyundai have offered many financial help schemes for warrnaty / servicing and insurance and I am kept up to date on all offers.
