Hyundai ix20 (2010 - 2018)
ix20 style 1.4 blue drive
Great at first, however:-
This is my post trade in review, written after 4 year's ownership and being fearful of the potential costs of keeping the car once the guarantee expired. To explain, whilst my car never broke down, it had seemingly endless problems with warning lamps illuminating eronously. To Hyundai''s credit they spent £1000's trying to resolve the problem but it was only only by chance that the dealer eventually discovered the fault and corrected it. The list of parts replaced was never ending' so many that I cannot now remember them all. That was all 6 months prior to the guarantee expired. Just after the end of the guarantee period all the interior lamps failed and no, it was not a fuse fault. With my experience of the car I did not feel the cost potential worth the risk and so traded it for a new car, and no not another Hyundai. I miss the sunroof and the 6 speed gearbox, I do not miss the A frame blind spot, the poor acceleration and a blue drive that rarely worked, in fact I do not miss the car.
