Hyundai Ioniq (2016 - 2022)
electric
Unfairly overlooked efficiency monster
Lets get the bad points out of the way..
Its blander then a very bland thing in the looks department.
Anyhoo moving on this car sits 4 comfortably and 5 easily for shorter runs, coming from a soul 64kwh company motor found the ioniqs head unit exactly the same just in a different colour hue so everything to me easy to find and operate, seats comfortable with plenty of adjustment and the biggest accolade i can say about the car is my wife jumping and driving away in the first electric car she's ever driven and coming back saying how easy it is to drive and she will be borrowing it on a very regular basis over her juke!
Biggest difference ive found over the Soul is the efficiency, 64kwh soul will go further granted but not at the regular 5.6 to 6.0 miles/kwh im seeing daily on a 60 mile round commute with the ioniq, Soul would generally be 3.9 to 4.3 miles/kwh on the same route and temp (20c +)
Personally the new craze of bigger heavier less efficient suv type electric with larger price tags is a shame when cars like this would be more than suitable for most drivers but thats a discussion for another day
