High tech economy

Having leased a Nissan leaf before this car, I needed the short run capability of electric drive for my commute and the range of a conventional car to visit my daughter 200miles away. The ionic does both.

Smart looking, loads of useful tech. Radar cruise is amazing for making motorway and dual carriageway driving safer and more relaxing. Your fuel economy improves when stuck in a queue, not the other way round. It's nice to drive, easy to use and fits enough stuff in it. Gearbox good, but can be slow to make its mind up when slowing down depending which powertrain it's using.

Outstanding economy and fun data displays to watch the hybrid system working. My only gripe is the exhaust noise which seems too tinny when compared to electric mode. Android auto makes the car an extension of the phone which is fantastic.

Don't bother with the base model SE unless you are a minicab driver, all the good toys are on the premium.

Buying one cash when my lease is up, it's that good.
