Honda Accord Tourer (2008 - 2015)
2.0 i-VTEC ES GT Auto 5dr Estate
It is comfortable, smooth and quiet but a bit thirsty.
I bought this car to replace my 12 year old CRV. I wanted a reliable, comfortable and quiet vehicle with front wheel drive and the ability to carry dogs and golf clubs. Now that I have got used to having to lower myself into it and climb out of it I am very happy with it. Over 14 months mixed driving I have recorded 33.1 mpg brim to brim although the trip computer claims 2 or 3 mpg more. Handling is good though it has to be said at 71 I am in no way a sporty driver. On the down side the centre switch panel is poorly laid out to the extent that I am aware that I have to take my eyes off the road for longer than I like to make a selection. It has got voice control but results are something of a lottery. The Sat Nav is out of date and would cost far too much to update so I often resort to backing it up with my Tom Tom. So far reliability has been 100%.
