Honda Accord Tourer (2008 - 2015)
2.0 v-tec ESGT Auto
Does what it says on the add
Having previously gone through the range of euro manufacturers, vag. m/b, bmw, with disappointment looked for a more reliable option. Wanted something that everyman and his dog were not driving. Cross between saloon and wagon required and as hatchback Accord not an option, tourer suited well. As a private buyer with low and non company annual mileage, could not justify purchase of diesel model (why obsession by reviewers with diesel???). Don't be fooled by reviews of auto box with petro engine, with flappy paddle change i can out accelerate any manual diesel and many petro rivals where it counts.
Reliability, so far faultless. Fuel consumption higher than spec'd but after increasing mileage getting more realistic gone from 30 to 34 mpg at 10K. (not obtc) expect to get higher return on increased mileage. Will let you know next year!!
Build quality is excellent, internal trim is smart and tight, seating is firm and secure for an oldy and supportive for long trips, equally for sporty driving.
