Honda Accord Tourer (2008 - 2015)
2.0 i-VTEC ES GT 156 Auto 5dr Estate
Excellent
I have driven many cars over 35 years of driving, clocking up over 1.2 million miles ( estimate) . I came from a VW Golf GT Diesel estate covering 30k and a BMW 320D E91 doing 67 k in that ...lovely car .. but not perfect . The Honda has done 160 K . It drives like it has done 50 K. Once I had adjusted to the relatively low torque petrol engine with auto box I have found I really like this car. I have covered 5K in 2 months. It is averaging 37>40 mpg and I am not driving it like a nun in a milk float. It is much quieter and comfier than the Golf and is wonderful for covering the distances. Ask it to shift, and it will . The i-vtec engine goes on song at around 5K rpm and it will pick up its skirts. I must admit after a long love Fords and being exposed to BMWs in the last few years the Honda is quite a revelation. Well, I was not expecting that. Yes , there are sacrifices, but this is really a very complete car, extremely clever and beautifully made.
