Great value, well worth a look

If you are looking for a car that is bigger than a city car but not quite as big as a super mini then the
Ka + is definitely worth considering. We bought this as a second car which will primarily be used around town but with the occasional trip further afield. There is not much difference in price if you are buying
second hand between the 70 and 85 bhp models so the 70 seems to make little sense. We have the 85bhp model which is more than adequate for the use that it is intended for.
This is a really nice, easy, smooth and comfortable car to drive. The many reviews that I have read about the Ka + are not wrong - the handling is really good. The gearbox is slick and a joy to use. Build quality is good. The interior quality is perfectly fine. Ok it is not as good as a Fiesta but the Ka + is substantially cheaper to purchase. As a second car this car really does make perfect sense. It's spacious inside and makes good use of the available space. This is a good car if you have small children as it has loads of cubby holes which are useful. In my opinion the Ka + is underated. It certainly fulfills a certain brief and is excellent value. I'd avoid the Studio model as it is a little spartan on kit. The Zetec model has everything you really need. Air Con, a DAB radio, Hill hold, electric front windows and Ford Sync with bluetooth. Our previous car was a VW Up. Reviews say that the Up is a better car but I don't agree with this. The Ka+ is much nicer to drive. We had issues with warped discs and stuck rear brakes on the Up. Apparently these are common problems with the Up. I can tell that the Ka + is a better built car. We are really pleased with ours. Have a look at one - you will be pleasantly surprised. Overall this car is excellent value and we are delighted with it.
