Poor fuel economy. 41MPG.

I've just taken on a 3 year lease, for a 5 door ST Line, 140BHP, manual, Deep Impact Blue. I like the car overall. It's quite fast, and has the 1.0 3 cylinder Ecoboost engine. I just sold my old 328 BMW (200 model), and this fiestas engine is 3 times smaller, with half the cylinders, and it drives really well. It's comfy, but the entertainment system is dated. It has Bluetooth and a usb input, with steering wheel controls.
The car looks really sporty, side skirts, alloys, spoiler, you can Google pictures.
I'm REALLY DISAPPOINTED with the fuel economy, with light driving I've managed just 41 MPG. What is the point of a 3 cylinder 1.0 engine, if it's not saving me fuel. I've done the correct calculations, and not relied on the on board computer (as I thought it must be lying, when it said av mpg 41 MPG) , but no, it's correct. r******!. My BMW was giving 30 MPG! and that was a 2.8 6 cylinder. I got this car because of the claimed MPG, what a fool I was to believe Ford, I'm now stuck with it for 3 years. I do recommend the car though, it you're not bothered about fuel cost, or just wait for the all new model coming out in August.
