Ford Fiesta (2017 - 2023)
1.0T 100ps Titanium EcoBoost Auto 5dr
7/10 Noisy brakes, front steering, washers
This is correct review for TITANIUM..not Zetec model as earlier review but couldnt change it.
Disappointed.
Windscreen washer jets dont project fluid high enough. Ive checked for clogging. Dealer acknowledged the problem on all 3 occasions it went in to be checked. They just offered to change the pump, but pump is fine, its nozzles or tubes which are behind panel work.
Brakes grind when in last phase of slow braking to standstill, sounds like when old pads are worn. Dealer says it's normal they grind in last phase of braking. So you either brake gently and grind embarrassingly audibly or brake hard and effectively emergency stopping all the time. I dont believe that's 'normal'. Never had car sound that way unless pads utterly worn out, which they're not. Cant believe a modern car would have this issue . If in traffic stop start it's really noisy grinding sound.
Front left suspension or steering creaks when turning right and car under load. Again Dealer said that its normal, but it didnt do it until last few months.
The plastic bodywork across front bottom edge of windscreen isnt flush with the screen. There is a small gap along 8" that catches debris.
All these matters have been looked at by Dealership who tell me they're normal noises and nothing to be done. Changing brake pads or discs would still produce grinding brakes
3yr warranty ends Nov.this year.
I tried another Dealership for their opinion but theysaid I'd have to talk to original other local Dealership!
So I've had no joy with Ford.
Left with grinding noisy brakes, noisy steering, inadequate screen washers!!
I'm going to try Ford HQ next.
Other than those issues it's a great car
