reliable runabout
this car was purchased as an interim replacement (was thinking of a few months) to get to work whilst my last vehicle (new car) was written off. It was cheap to insure and cheap to run. I may have been lucky and found a good condition used car, but to be honest it was the first small car I owned that I have ever loved, despite it's ancient 1.3L pushrod engine it never let me down and with regular maintenance has achieved over 126,000 miles no problem. It may not have been nippy, may have run rather lean, (I happened to be interested in good fuel economy) but it did regularly achieve in excess of 50 mpg on a good run if driven gently.
