A disaster

Bought at 3 years old with one year warranty from a franchised Vauxhall dealer. Ex motability.

Car was nightmare of unreliability from day one. Some problems were a pain but fixed under warranty - gear selector failed, heated rear window failed, rear tailgate release failed, software glitches.

However, the car also went in to the same main dealer 15 times in 16 months for the same problem - loss of power when pulling away - leaving you stranded in the middle of roundabouts with no power, just when you needed it to get out of trouble. Car would also go into "limp" mode at high speed. Over £1000 spent on fixes, some of which paid for by warranty and no fix lasted more than a few days. Software fault between engine and gearbox. Referred to Ford Technical - who kept offering more and more useless fixes. Ford refused to have someone from Ford technical look at the problem as out of warranty. Ford know ther's a problem with this model (CVT auto) and have chosen not to fix it, leaving their owners massively out of pocket. I sold the car due to safety concerns which Ford didn't accept.

I'll never buy another Ford as the result of this experience, having owned nothing else for 17 years previously.
