Ford C-MAX (2003 - 2010)
Zetec 2.0 5dr Auto People Carrier
A very easy car to drive with very good mpg especially on long runs
Initially we had a problem with the on board computer. It would drop in to the limp home mode. To give the dealer their due, Turners of Plymouth, it was sorted out and a new unit was fitted by the main Ford dealer and it has been faultless and no more trouble. The car had one of those pump and sealant units instead of a spare wheel. This was rectified by going to a breakers and I got the spare wheel, jack, wheel brace and the boot insert for £40. The car has performed very well and on a run to the Lake District our mpg was 38.73, this was fill up to fill up. We find it is an easy car to drive with no effort required. The turning circle is good, the seats are comfortable. The dashboard layout is good and the controls are well placed. The only gripe is the position of the front and rear heated window switches, they are obscured by the steering wheel. These should be on the left of the radio. We like the room that the seats reveal when they are folded up. The hatches that are located in the floor behind the front seats are useful for hiding small objects such as cameras. Overall a very good car.
