Great car to drive and park, but pity about gearbox electronics.
This is actually my daughters car, but I have driven it. She took it back to dealers thought there was a problem with the gearbox, she has always used the paddle shift to get the best economy out of the car, she has done this with the two previous models she had with no problem. This one however started acting up e.g. driving uphill in 4th. and the gearbox suddenly dropping out of gear and the revs screaming up to 4,000 rpm. This happened on several occasions and so arranged to take it to the dealers workshop to be sorted out, now this is the interesting part, the engineer rode in the car and also drove it himself, he came to the conclusion that the cars electronics were too clever by half and would decide for themselves that the car was being driven incorrectly, i.e. the wrong gear and revs. He told her that in future the paddles would be removed from future models and the best thing to do would be to drive in fully automatic mode, which she has done and so far has had no further trouble. I'd be interested if what he told her was true or just a load of BS so that they don't have to investigate further!
