Citroen C3 Aircross (2017 on)
1.2 Puretech 110 Flair EAT6 Start+Stop 5dr
Nice to drive but...............
This is the first French car I have ever owned ( and the first bright red one) and it has its little French foibles. It looks good and is well put together, the paint finish seems particularly tough. Driving around these Devon lanes often leads to brushes against hedges and no scratches are apparent during our 7 months of ownership. I am well impressed with the 3 cylinder turbo engine, it suits my spirited style driving and is a real goer when prodded and It makes a suitable exhaust note. It is reasonably comfortable on smooth roads but a bit jarry on poor surfaces and there is a deal of wind noise around the door areas. My wife finds the dog-leg gear shift arrangement difficult but that is OK the more you use it. We are generally pleased with this car but the reversing light i s so pathetic as to be useless in the dark. Using the car shows up what the French think is unimportant, the clock read-out is tiny as is the temperature read-out but the digital speed read-out is LARGE!! So far reliable enough, not used any oil and remains rattle free but still undecided on whether it is a car to keep long time.
