BMW 3 Series Convertible (2007 - 2012)

We got the £40,000 Friday car and rejected it !
Often talked about but not often done - rejecting a brand new vehicle. We had a our brand new £40,000 BMW convertible in the drive for 2 hours and then rejected it and we now have another new one. The reason it got to the drive was pure complacancy of trustng the dealer to not sell a brand new BMW that was not fit for purpose especially as we have had several before. I feel sure the replacement will do all it should but the cost to BMW and the dealer network of this going on the intranet cannot have been worth the risk of moving on a badly stored car discounted or not. So if the deal sounds to good to be true it proably is. There will be advice on this wed site if you find yourself in the same position.
UPDATE. Some 3 years on it has become apparent that these cars have a problem with wheels cracking, even low mileage cars. Ensure if buying one second-hand you have a report on the condition of the wheels undertaken.
