Audi A7 Sportback (2011 - 2018)
3.0 BiTDI quattro SE 5dr Auto Hatchback
Stunning looker, inside and out, great pace, high levels comfort, lovely tech and surprisingly good mpg
Hadn't really thought about the A7 but after a visit to the showroom it was love at first sight. Following advice from Honest John waited until a low mileage, hi spec BiTDI was available in SE spec. Latter was important because preference was quality of ride over a harder sportier handling set up. The engine is just stunning. One moment you can be pottering around taking it easy and the next totally intoxicated by the sheer power of the beast. Pressing a button to make her sound like a petrol V8 just brings a constant smile. With the hatch and space inside the A7 makes a really practical family car. The quality and usefulness of the technology put it ahead of rivals for us. Sat Nav best I've seen and with Google Earth maps looks truly stunning and so easy to follow. Adaptive cruise makes motorway trips so easy. A rear camera for parking is a must as otherwise you will struggle. Lastly given the power and pace of this thing it really is incredibly economical. On a mixture of short and long journeys regularly averaging high 30s with motorway trips seeing over 40mpg. All in all a great buy and if you can find a hi spec BiTDI you won't regret it. A real feel good car if ever there was one.
