Audi A7 Sportback (2011 - 2018)
204 sportback
beauty but not a beast
Further to my previous review, I would like to add a further comment (or two)
Apart from my long standing problem with the navigation, I had another major problem when I sent my car in for its first service. When I drove the car after its service I noticed that the steering had been effected. It was over assisted with no feedback. I tried to change it with the vehicle settings, but it would not respond. At first the garage insisted that they had done nothing to the steering, but after my continued complaints they admitted that they had "up dated the steering". Eventually their mechanic confirmed that the steering was not right, they gave me a courtesy car and kept mine in for investigation. This took about 8 weeks, resulting in a new steering rack.
The other problem with the car is the gear box on the 204 bhp is hopeless. you constantly roll forward or back when in gear on a hill or slope, resulting in many a dangerous panic. Plus the front wheel drive constantly causes wheel spin when moving off. Economy is excellent, 50 mpg on a long run.
I had lost faith in the car and have traded it in for ... guess what....another A7 ... this time the 245 bhp Quattro, and a much better gearbox. Fantastic so far, much better than the 204, but only had it for 6 weeks so will let you know,
