Ford Galaxy - Brief whirring sound when I decelerate - leafydrive

So, I test drove a ford galaxy today.

Drove it for 30 minutes, no problems. Took it on the dual carriage for 10 minutes, soon after a whirring noise developed, but only when I took my foot on the accelerator. It lasts for a few seconds then dissappears. It reappears each time I take my food of the gas pedal.

It doesn't sound mechanical (ie clunky), any idea what it could be? I really like this car, it has lots of service history and everythings been replaced.

What do you reckon?

Could be the turbo but you dont say whether its a petrol or diesel.

Sorry!

2005 Ford Galaxy, 120k miles on the clock, diesel. The clutch was replaced @100k miles as was the cambelt. Seems to have lots of new parts inc suspension.

Former company pool car. Being sold for £3k, took it for a very long test and it was smooth & fast. Then this sound popped up :(
