I bought a 2002 Ford Mondeo 2.0 Ghia X Petrol about a year and a half ago and when driving it had a slight splutter/judder every now and then. I have seen a few posts on here with a similar issue, but on the Diesel version. Now it is winter, when the engine is cold it really does splutter, judder almost like fuel starvation.

When I took it to the Garage for it's MOT 3 months back I also had a MAJOR service, I told the guys about this and they looked into it but could not find anything.

I seem to think it was a case of computer plugged in and Computer says no. So they had no idea, but it is starting to bug the bejesus out of me. I am certain it's affecting my fuel consumption by poor running, because when it splutters I slow down, so in response I gas it more.

Any thoughts, ideas hints??
