Ford Ka - Speed Sensor part broke off - iain073

Tried to replace the speed sensor on my Ford Ka 1.3 2000 but found it wouldn't tighten up all the way. Checking the old one I found a piece of the metal cable that inserts into the engine was broken off. Is there anyway of getting this out of the engine?

You will need to remove the plastic gear drive unit from the gearbox.If I recall ,it is held on by 1 x 10mm bolt.Once this is out of the gearbox,you should be able to pick out the remains of the drive cable.hth
