Hi all, this has got me really stumped!!! My astra is running really really hot, has hardly any acceleration, but revs fine when stationary. My problems started a few months back when the woodruff key wore and made the crankshaft pulley loose, sending the timing way out!! After fitting a new pulley and key, and correcting the timing everything seemed to be fine, but then the car started to show the same symptoms again a couple of weeks later, so i started to strip her down and found a large pool of oil in the maf sensor!!! Anyway cleaned this out and checked everything that i'd done previously, but could find nothing, however the car is still running like a lump of lard and couldnt pull the skin off a rice pudding, and a short trip to town and back (about 2.5 miles) will have the electric fan kicking in!!! Please can anybody help????? To give you an idea of how much power its losing, it couldnt even drive up my ramps!!!!!
