Peugeot 307 2.0 hdi 51 plate, 90BHP, E/no DYDM3013 - car sluggish in Peugeot 307 2.0HDI GLX - littleluck

I bought this car with 54K on it. Its been ok, except that Ive had an ABS warning light on virtually since day 1. The garage replaced a sensor and it was ok for a month then it came on again. I replaced the other rear sonsor to no avail. I replaced all of them in the end and guess what, I wasted £175.00 and 4 hrs as the light is still on.

Anyway, thats not my the main problem.

My car now has 97K on it. Its had a timing belt changed, air filter, diesel filter and oil filter. Over the last 7k the car has become incresingly sluggish. To the point now, fully loaded transit vans fly past me when im travelling up inclines on the motorway. Roads I used to go up in third gear now I have to have a drop into first gear and eventually I get up to 2nd. It will still do 90mph on the motorway but just no guts on hills or over taking.

The other day (last week) about 200 miles ago a light came on the dash (looked like the shape of an engine) and a warning message saying anti pollution failure, or words to that effect. The light went off the next day and hasnt come back.

Can anyone help me with this problem, the car isnt worth alot and at the moment (im self employed) work is dead and I couldnt afford to take it to a dealer. Is there something I can do and if so, what is it. Does this car have a FAP? Does it have an addative to diesel feature.

Your advice would be very much appreciated.
