Ford Mondeo 03 TDCI - No power - Jeffo77
My car starts first turn of the key but when you drive it there is no power at all when you accelarate it knocks and smokes anyone any ideas.

A contaminated Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF) is notorious for causing lack of power, poor running & poor fuel economy on a Mondeo TDCi, also Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system sooted/gunked up.

Clean the EGR and if the MAF hasn't been changed for yonks then it's well worth changing.
