I'm interested in the Peugeot 3008, would need an auto and may use it often for journeys of less than ten miles a day so assumed a petrol engine would be better than diesel. Our local dealer could not find the petrol auto 3008 on his list. We test-drove the diesel, which I understand to be a semi-auto, and would prefer a full automatic if available.

Is there any issue with availability or reliability of the 3008 petrol auto?

I'd also welcome any feedback on the grip control option. Does this involve driving all year on mud/snow tyres? If so, any issues about driving (carefully) in wet conditions? And what sort of mileage can we expect?
