I will kick off another of these, as they get tend to get very lengthy.

Today, on the M6, coming out of Forton services, I saw a green QTvan being towed by a sort of motor-trike thing with a shell on it to shield the driver from the rain I suppose. The trike thing was also painted green!

I'm tempted to include here the thread where Jamie reviews a car he's actually driven (the Prius thread)! Jolly good and fair review it is too.

Otherwise what struck me as unusual, on a trip to mid-Devon and back this week-end, is that we didn't see a single 61-registered car. When I got my 11-reg in March there seemed to be lots of us about. Let's hope the motor trade picks up again before long.

A Range Rover hybrid test vehicle on the M42.

A Nissan Leaf rapidly losing charge on the M1as it was doing over 70 - until the hills came then it seemed to have a severe lack of power as it slowed considerably.

I've done 400 miles since 1st September and only seen two 61 reg vehicles - A Pug and a Fiat 500.

No, I haven't seen any 61 plates yet either. I almost (!) miss commuting just because I saw lots of interesting stuff on the motorway. Maybe people are really skint this time; I never look at new cars so I don't know if the dealerships are doing any good offers.

I saw a Cayenne, covered in extra panels and chrome, in very shiny white, in a multistorey in Manc. The reg plates looked like they were in Ancient Babylonian... couldn't figure out if it was Arabic, Hebrew, whatever. Complete immunity from speed camera fines!

Two Morgan Roadsters in Kendal on Saturday!

Ditto! Around 5:40 heading out of Kendal towards the motorway.

They looked great. Wasn't the nicest day for a top-down car though!!

I have just seen a Reliant Robin painted up to look like a pig, with a 3D nose and everything, driving in towards Lancaster. It was a very deep pink. The two lads in it looked faintly embarrased.

Funniest thing I saw was a Reliant Robin (aka plastic pig) in black and gold. There was a mural of a pig's head in flames on the bonnet and "Trans Ham" on the sides and back.

Don't think Burt Reynolds would have been impressed...

Just seen my first 61 plate, finally! A blue MINI Cooper D on the M6 by Forton. I got a good long look at it as we were sitting in a traffic jam together.

Very imposing

Whilst visiting Homebase, a parked Mercedes caught my attention. At first glance it looked like a 15 year old 'E ' class 2door, however I noticed the bootlid badge said 600, which usually denotes engine size. Then I looked at the lower front wing behind the road wheel and saw V12 badge! What a car, didn't know such a desirable car even existed.

The tragedy is that even with such a magnificent car, you still end up having to go to Homebase.

Just saw a Bentley Continental GTC convertible. I have never seen one of those before; had to look that one up! It was dark silvery grey and they had the top down as it's a nice day here.
