I have a 2007 MK4 Mondeo, and was suprised to see on Etis that the camshaft / auxiliary belt change interval is 62500 / 5 years.

This seems to apply to autos - manuals have a 125000 / 10 years interval.

Why would an auto transmission halve the interval? Or could this be an error on etis? My local Ford dealer hadn't heard of this (and hasn't done this at all on a MK4 yet).
