Ford Focus 1.8TDCi 2004 - Warning lights - woodyray

Hi

5 weeks ago the Glow Plug warning came on when driving. I stopped the car, switched the engine off, waited a few seconds, re-started the engine - no more warning light. All has been OK....... until yesterday.

Driving at 65mph the engine suddenly felt hesitant, and both Glow plug and Engine Warning lights were on.

Again I stopped and turned the engine off for a few seconds. After re-starting all seemed Ok and we finished our short journey. Car has done 57K miles.

Any suggestions to the problem and how to confirm it please?

glow plug light coming on is also used as the ecu fault light on these..so need the codes read and then go from there as could be anything really.
