Anyone know how to spot an immobiliser fault?.......apart from the car not turning/starting

If the red led on the dash flashes continuosly with ignition on,this could indicate an immobiliser fault.hth

Hi.

Could the immobiliser produce an intermittent fault as it seems to be fine left after a long period and starting but if i'm returning to the car in an hour sometimes it doesnt start. Also if ive left the keys in the ignition (engine off) say in a layby it produces a non start.
