I am driving Volvo 240 's for a long time but this one 1991 with lambda sond is giving me headaches. Basically, my car runs smoothly, sometimes problems with wet start but runs at the end. All electrics renewed: distributer cap, leads, plugs, bobine. But driving around sometimes the car just stops! Then the lambda sond turns on and after a couple of minutes being dead, we can start the car again: it runs smooth again but we never know when it will happen again ...... after one hour, a day, a couple of days or even a week? Went to garage, they can't find it, replaced (2nd hand though mass airflow sensor - MAF) made things worse ..... I found one person online having the same problems; eventually came back with distributor cap problem but as I mentioned before, in ours has been replaced. Getting nuts by the fact that not even a garage, not Volvo, (reading the lambda faults and resetting the system / light) can not find the problem. Please help me out, I am getting nuts here
