FIAT Bravo - Bleeding Brakes - squibsquib

When I changed my caliper I used a brake hose clamp to minimise fluid lose but when I took the clamp off I noticed it had damaged the brake hose, so I bought a new hose meaning that I lost some fluid when changing it. Once I bleed the caliper around 5 times I noticed the brake pedal still spongey. Will I have to bleed the whole system to get back to normal or is there a certain sequence?

Did you just replace the caliper or were new pads fitted? New pads need to bed in, especially if the discs are scored.

If no new pads and the only things you have touched are the hose and caliper, then it sounds like air in the system. Bleed all four wheels starting from the rear and then doing the opposite front. Consider purchasing an easibleed - makes the job so much easier.
