Ford Fiesta 2004 - Noisy clutch

Ford Fiesta 2004 - Noisy clutch - nicholasjpeck

When I depress the clutch, there is noise, whereas when I engage the clutch, the noise goes away. Any ideas out there would be much appreciated!

clutch release bearing dry,its normal, time to worry is when you struggle/cannot get the gears or clutch slips, apart from that they all do it

Many thanks - is this just an age thing or is it something which can be dealt with at a service?

It isnt age related,IMO its the material makeup that causes the problem,it cannot be cured on service and as far back as I remember they all suffered the same problem,and as long as you can put up with the noise it may be like it untill its replaced(but dont replace untill it goes wrong it will/should last life of clutch It is annoying though I know
