Ford Mondeo III - Pumping noise on start up - AndrewMarc

On starting the engine I will some times have a pumping noise (sounds like "tss tss tss") which stops when the car has wormed up. Common sense says that it would be the power stearing but it seems to always work fine.

Year, petrol, deisel, which engine, how many miles. This could just be a drive belt. Regards Peter
