05 1.6 TDCi engine oil level increasing - Blade_Runner
Hi.
I got 2005 Ford Focus MK2 1.6 TDCI,98000 miles done.
Yesterday I checked the engine oil and it is 2 inches above recommended level. The oil service was done one week ago. It's been happening since I bought the car.At 88000 miles oi was also changed and oil level was also above recommended level.
When the engine is warm ,sometimes I get light blue smoke coming form the exhaust, but only if I take my foot off the accelerator. Then if I put the accelerator again, the smoke disapears. It is not happening every day.

1.Valve stem oil seals-NO-it is opposite situation.
2.Emission test done-OK.
3.Had it on the computer as well and nothing came up,except
a)P0234-unexcpected high boost pressure turbo during accelaration
b)P2459-diesel particulate filter regenaration frequency
4.Turbo has been changed at 80 thousand miles.I do not know why has been changed.
5.Injectors tested-OK.
6.No warning lights on the dashboard.

You must have fuel getting into the sump from somewhere, your blue smoke would suggest that the oil is being diluted, its unlikely that injector leakage as that would make the engine run rough. I would suspect that something bolted to the engine is leaking into it. On very old diesels it could be caused by the lift pump diaphagm leaking but as you dont have one I can only suggest the high pressure pump.

Yes, fuel is getting into the oil. Obviously this motor has a bit of history (new turbo etc). Unless you have high level DIY skills I would take it to a diesel specialist and let them take a look.

Injectors are fine I guess, because the engine runs smooth.I was also told that it may be water-but I have checked the water level and it is ok.
Can DPF do anything to oil levels? My DPF filter was cut form the car(signs of welding at the top).

Hmm, new turbo and DPF cut off? Where did this car come from. I suspect there are a few horrors lurking here. Ireally do suggest a professional appraisal on this. If the fualt is not sorted then oil could start getting drawn into engine and you have runaway.

The car is ex leasing company car, bougt from form the dealership owned buy an Iranian guy.
Service history is missing from 55000 up to 88000 miles.Goodness knows what they have done with this car!The car was sold buy this guy with fake invoice plus a fake stamp in the service book.
I am hoping to get my money back pretty soon,as trading standards and financial ombudsman are looking into this.
I got warranty form warranty direct and do not know how ong will take for those institutions to sort out that problem!Hopefully car will last till that time!

You have 'b)P2459-diesel particulate filter regenaration frequency' fault code, so suggests the car is constantly trying to regenerate a possibly non existant DPF.
This is probably how the diesel fuel is finding its way into the sump.
At 2 inches above high, the oil must be getting dangerously diluted with diesel & engine may run away or get damaged by poor lubrication if left to go higher.
I would get the oil changed again & keep a close eye on the level until it is sorted.
