01 2.0 Very Jumpy Gears - Robert Thomson
I have a Ford Mondeo Ghia X 2.0. When in 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th and you push the accelarator down to the floor the car begins to jerk and the speed does not speed up as quickly as it should. It's like the car does not respond quick enough and speed up really slowly.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

It sounds as though the engine is misfiring under load, you will need to get the fault codes read.

Sounds like a faulty electronic throttle?
or fuel supply problem?


Needs to be taken to a garage where they can read and deciper the fault codes.
