Hi, got a problem thats beginning to bug me.
In the last month or so my car has been making a knocking noise when braking or going over bumps, I believe it is coming from the rear. My usual garage say that it is the trailing arm bushes and that both need doing at a cost of £150. Could it be anything else?
Is this a likely cause and would you think the price is reasonable?
Thanks you.

if garage have done the test and can see they are beyond redemption then yes
they usually bang most going off say a kerb
bushes are £10 each and the tool to do them can break (replacement bit is £25) so your garage quote is quite fair in these unsteady times
