Young driver training - Wisp324
Our daughter has been driving now for 18 months but in common with a lot of youngsters, she had no sooner passed her test than she was off to college. Consequently, her driving experience post passing her test comes in fits and starts over the holiday periods.

She is returning to college in September and will be taking her car with her for the first time. Can anyone recommend a course that would act as a refresher to her driving test particularly in relation to 'defensive' driving and also provide practical advice on motorway driving ( which she has done a fair bit of but doesn't really understand the dynamics)?

If you dont feel up to giving her a running commentary as she drives down different roads making her aware of everything you see around you then why not ring a few of your local driving instructers and see if any of them are ex police trained and can do this for her.
Its amazing how better you become when you talk yourself down an unfamiliar or indeed a familiar road,a driving instructer will also know a decent bit of land where she can try a controlled fast turn in etc to see how a car behaves (watch its not near a skip though as i nearly smashed into one not long ago honing my er handbrake skills)

Why not just get her a Pass Plus or whatever its called which includes motorway driving? Your local instructor will do it.

You have to take pass plus within a year of passing. For your daughter some refresher lessons are probably the best bet.
