88 1.9 immobiliser/ignition problem - petredm
Thinking my immobiliser is faulty.

Problem is car won't start on occasion, every other time starts first times and runs sweet.

usual trick to start is take a spark plug out turn over to see if it sparks, on first try no spark on second attempt start and runs on other 3 cylinders.

Before taking a spark plug out can be trying to start for a few minutes with nothing.

replaced HT leads, spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor arm, coil and the 3 low tension connectors.

RAC call out a few months back tried a new timming module (the 5 or 7 pin small black part under the coil on an ali earth plate.)

Thinking this only really leaves the cat 2 immobiliser (apollo 2002), can I bypass this myself without going to a auto electrician ?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
