What happens to my warranty now that the dealer has gone into administration?
Unfortunately the dealership group I brought a brand new car from has gone into administration, which was two miles from where I live, compared to the nearest franchise which is thirteen miles.
In the circumstances, what advice can you offer me in maintaining the car warranty and dealing with any repair issues?
Feel any issues will involve a two six mile road trip, until the car goes beyond the length of the warranty or mileage restrictions, whichever comes first.
Thanks
Gavin Townsend
PS Hoping the group will find a buyer so the former employees can return to their jobs.

We would suggest contacting the warranty supplier - although the warranty was supplied by the dealership, warranties are commonly provided by third parties and the dealer is merely responsible for carrying out any warranty work. The warranty supplier should be able to advise you of where your vehicle can be maintained and any warranty work carried out.
You may also wish to contact the manufacturer directly - the manufacturer warranty will be valid as long as you use a main dealer or an approved third party.
