How do I know a new reg car isn't several months old?

If you order a new 74 plate car how do you know that it was not sat in the forecourt for many months?

Unfortunately the short answer is you cannot be sure that your new reg car has not sat on the forecourt for a period of time. However, dealers generally do not make a habit of leaving new cars unregistered, and if you are ordering from new, unless the vehicle is already in stock (and therefore likely to be registered) it is unlikely to have been sat on the forecourt.
