Hi, i have a misfire at 1500-2000 rpm, and car cuts out sometimes while driving, had fault codes read, they are: p0251-p2291-p1664-p1211, some people say that this is pump failure, then changed pump, and it still happens,i have secondhand pump to fit, but need to make sure that this will be a cure, my car is mondeo tdci 02, it is also hard to start in mornings, would having duff battery cause this?

Would suggest you take the vehicle to a diesel specialist. Pump failure may lead to contamination of the fuel system with metal fragments, not only affecting a replacement pump, but also injectors. Miss-firing under acceleration, and cutting out when stopping can also be due to failure of the sender on the end of the pump.

it has misfire in low revs while on driveway, but dont notice it when driving, but engine stops after glowplug lights flash, which is the sender on rear of pump? as i have second pump, would it be worthwhile swapping it over to mine? many thanks.

Doesn't sound like the symptoms I had with mine. I suspected a faulty EGR valve, but diagnostics said fuel metering valve (on the back of the pump) and diagnostics were right. Valve is about £65 from Ford.
The glowplug light will come on for any number of fuelling-related problems. I'm not a diesel technician, but would suggest you find a diesel specialist with Delphi support, and let them advise you.
