Hello all
I'm thinking of changing car due to an increasing family, and currently have a 2001 520 SE Manual (90k leather, etc) that I had converted to LPG two years ago with a Romano sequential system (tank in wheel well) that cost me £1600. Runs like a dream, very smooth and can't really feel a loss in power.
With the current price of petrol, and the relatively lower cost of running on gas, would I get more for my car than an unconverted one? I'm definitely going to try and sell privately if I can get a few more quid for it, just there's not that many around to compare against.
I suppose I'm lucky that I've got the cash to buy the new car so I'm not in a rush to sell, what price should I ask?
On a side note, fold-flat seats aren't standard in a 5-series, hence my change in car needed!
thanks folks, all advice appreciated.

A few years ago I converted a Jeep to lpg at a cost of around £2k and was told that it would add about £1k to the value of the vehicle. This was borne out a year or so later when my dearly beloved wrote it off and the insurance assessor said the same and amazingly came in with an offer which matched my estimation of the value.
That was then and this is now. Things may have changed in today's market but I would imagine lpg would add to the value or if not, then at least make it saleable at all.
Does it affect the VED bracket at all?

Nick, did you ever consider converting your Spec-B to lpg? I'm wondering about doing that in a year's time, if/when I manage to find a Spec-B tourer.

Nope! but I have had it registered as 'alternative fuel' with the DVLA for a £10 discount on the VED.
Maybe I should stick it in the local paper & Autotrader for £5250 ono and settle for around £5k?
I'm close to ordering a Touran from one of the online brokers, so I'll probably have to wait 8 weeks before I see it.
