2005 2.0 Towbar Wiring - access to battery - sblackmo
I am just fitting a towbar and vehicle specific wiring kit to my 2005 Multispace.

The wiring kit was easy up until the part where the instructions said to route a wire to the front of the car and connect it to the battery. I managed to get the wire as far as the front passenger footwell using the existing channel located on the n/s under the plastic floor trim, but I cannot find anyway to get from the footwell into the engine compartment. (The existing loom seems to be routed between the inner and outer front wing, but I can see no way to use that same route without removing the front wing!)

I don't really want to start drilling holes in the bulkhead... is there a way to get a wire through?

Alternatively, as the wire concerned is only a 12v feed for the additional trailer relay, I thought about taking a feed of off one fof the auxillary 12v power sockets - any reason why not?
