A collegue has a 1.6 Focus ghia. Recently the front suspension has become quite noisy. To me it sounds like rubber bushes. It comes from both sides. Is there a common problem, if so how do you fix it? Thanks in anticipation of any help.

i have come across this fault many times whilst mot testing a focus if the suspension is giving creaking noises as opposed to knocking noises over bumps soak all suspenion rubbers ie wishbone arm areas with releasing oil ie wd 40 it will soften the bushes. over the next couple of weeks the noise should go.if it is knocking over bumps check the anti roll ba links for ball joint wear these can be found linking the shock to the anti roll bar.
